Yarn Along - 12/14/16

Hope everyone is having a lovely holiday season. We are finally getting some snow as I am writing this. I like a light dusting for atmosphere!

Before I get to the knitting, there is one more day to enter the giveaway I am running for one of my Eiffel Tower project bags. Leave a comment on THIS POST for your chance to win. Winner announced Thursday, December 15! Open to all countries.

I am In the middle of a pair of handspun socks for my husband. The goal is to have then done and blocked and in his Christmas stocking. We shall see if I make it!

The yarn is a delicious Black Coffee colorway from Fiber Optic Yarns. Rich black, browns and grays. The pattern is my own toe-up recipe with the waffle pattern from the Blueberry Waffle Socks. The texture is pretty dreamy!

I am slowing working through a new book that I got as a prize for the summer reading program at the Cincinnati Public Library. You’ve got to love competitive reading for adults! (Well, competitive with yourself.)

I chose Abounding Grace, edited by M. Scott Peck. It is a collection of quotes on wisdom. Wisdom is a topic that keeps coming up for me. It may be my “One Little Word” for 2017! Anyway, I am enjoying this book a lot. It is great for a little daily meditation time.

Back to my knitting. Gotta get those socks done! Don’t forget to enter the giveaway today!
