Yarn Along – 4/20/16

April 20, 2016

Happy Spring Cleaning Week! At least it is spring cleaning at my house. Washing draperies, wiping down doors, etc., etc.

My little treat has been been knitting on my Business Casual Socks during my breaks.

Or at least it is a treat once I picked it up after it has been languishing and made sure I could still get the pattern repeat to come out right.

Once that was resolved it seems to be going quite quickly. I have been cabling with either a locking stitch marker or a toothpick. It can be fiddly, but by the time I had two repeats down it started moving pretty quickly.

Yarn is Knit Picks Hawthorne Kettle Dye in color Goddess. There is enough lights and darks to make the pattern show up. I am really drawn to textured sock patterns lately. Blueberry Waffle Socks and Hermione’s Everyday Socks are definitely in the future. Maybe in a tweed of some sort… dreamy!

The sock yarn blanket is growing fast! Eating up all my yarn! I will have to knit more socks to get more leftovers. That’s logical, right?

I am waiting for the audio book for Ready Player One, my next book club read. It is read by Wil Wheaton, and is a story of a post-apocalyptic near future involving a real-life video game. Can’t wait!
