Yarn Along – 10/28/15

October 28, 2015

Sleeves! I’m knitting the sleeves!

Pattern is Carrie’s Wrap, by Sally Melville from the book, Knitting Pattern Essentials. Yarn is Juniper Moon Farm Moonshine.

Knitting them two at a time, which is pretty easy for this sweater since they are identical. They are about halfway done. I might be to the button band ribbing by next time.

Not a lot of reading time this week, but I am plowing through audio books as I cut and sew some wristlet bags and zipper pouches.

I am currently listening to #4 in the Maisie Dobbs mystery series, Messenger of Truth. This is the first one I have listened to, and so far I like it a lot. Much better to be read to in a British accent, I always say.

It is wet and chilly today. I am wishing I had my sweater done. I think I will put on some leg warmers to compensate. Every little knit helps!

Thanks, Jeanette! I think it is time to compose a mental outfit to wear it with! Perhaps dark denim jeans and boots? Yes!

You know you are close to the end when you are on the sleeves So close yet so far! I can’t wait to see it complete.

The knitting looks great – love that colour.
I like listening to audiobooks read in an english accent too – Sophie Kinsella books are great, as is Ken Follett’s Century Trilogy (which includes some Welsh accents as well!)

Hi! Found you via YarnAlong. I read the first two Maisie Dobbs and then lost interest. However, your post makes me realize I should try the audio books! Will be a whole different experience. Thanks for reminding me about the series!

Extra cozy, soft sweater. Clever to knit both sleeves at once. I will have to try that someday…
