Yarn Along – 6/18/14

Laura’s Blog Entry

I am so close to finishing Soulless (The Parasol Protectorate) by Gail Carriger, which was my vacation reading. Next is Blood Will Tell (Kate Shugak Mystery), by Dana Stabenow. It’s the 6th in the Kate Shugak series of mysteries set in Alaska. I am enjoying getting to know more about Kate as the series progresses. There is a little of the cleverness of the Robert B. Parker series of Spencer books. I won’t lament here again how sad I am there won’t be any more of those. 🙂

I am rocking and rolling on the Common Ground hoodie. I love the lace diamond pattern on the body. Worsted weight sweaters grow so fast! I thought I’d put it down by now due to the summer heat, but the AC is keeping me comfortable.

I am itching for a new project. Hoping a lace scarf I set aside will fill the bill. Oh and I want to finish spinning the 8 oz. of fiber I have going on my drop spindle as well. Looking forward to long summer afternoon knitting/spinning breaks! Need to make that a priority!

Thanks! I’ve been trying it on and I think it is going to be nice a roomy. I was wishing for a sweater like this all last winter. Hope it lives up to my expectations!
