Handmade Christmas – Part 1

December 27, 2010

Laura’s Blog Entry

Although I can’t claim every gift was  handmade, I made a nice effort.

The first featured item as a big hit with Mari: a vintage-style apron.

I used a fabric she’d fallen in love with over the summer, a classic 1950’s cherry pattern. The apron also called for two coordinating fabrics. That was music to my ears. I had a great time putting together the floral and the mini-dot with the cherries. Love it!

The apron has nice long ties in the back to make a pretty bow.

It was fun to put this together. If you are interested there is a free tutorial online provided by Bari J. Be sure to download both Part 1 and Part 2.

There are more handmade goodies to come, so stay tuned!
