Holiday Rewind

December 4, 2008

Laura’s Blog Entry

Before Thanksgiving is too far behind us, I thought I’d post a few food photos.

Noodle Making

We had a really wonderful time on Thanksgiving with a group of friends. Great food, great people. And we spent pretty much the rest of the holiday resting. We were really in need of a break. Lots of time on the sofa, with books and movies and knitting.

Neil works really hard at his job, and having one child and one husband seems to be more than enough to wear me out. Factor in all the work we’ve put into the podcast and the album lately and it adds up to another full-time job. No wonder people have teams of managers and PR people working for them. This stuff is time consuming! But very fun.

We are very thankful for all the cool stuff that’s happened this year, the people that have inspired and supported us, and the work we’ve been able to produce. Can’t wait to see what’s the new year will bring!

Awesome mixer – I’m jealous. KitchenAid is the best. We make homemade pasta and use a hand-cranked pasta machine. Not as fancy as your setup, but there’s an old-fashioned charm to it.
