It Was a Nice Day for a White Wedding…

Laura’s Blog Entry

OK it was creamy white, bronzy-brown and pink to be exact!

Sunday we attended the truly lovely wedding of Susan and Ethan. Faithful readers may recall that Susan was the producer of Neil BSG film contest submission. It was obvious that she produced and art directed her own wedding as well. It was breathtaking. The ceremony was sweet and personal. Mari was a very grown up girl through the entire service. As I happily snapped photos at the reception, Susan asked me if they would end up on the Smiths’ Occasional Blog. Uh, yeah! Here are some visual highlights…

Impeccably designed menu (which matched the invitation, program and placecards):

The reception was held at a local park and had an incredible view of the river and the city at night. It was perfect fall weather – a little bit cool. The patio area was lined with candles in glass jars and there was a firepit in the center.

Stunning wedding cake:

Ethan is a firefighter. So I especially enjoyed the cake topper:

Best wishes to Susan and Ethan, who I hope are not checking the blog for photos from their honeymoon in Hawaii. Thanks so much for including us in such an amazing celebration!

My camera stinks when it come to photographing people in low light. So sorry there is no photo of the bride! She looked so pretty – I am cursing my camera!

Actually, the low light makes it all look really dramatic and elegant! The cheesecake selection, wow – how did you choose?

Ah, you read that! I went for white chocolate raspberry. It is always my favorite.
