What kind of corn-eater are you?

July 18, 2007

Laura’s Blog Entry

We had fresh corn for dinner, roasted in the husks. Here’s my observation. There are at least three kinds of corn-eaters. I am a “twirler.” I start at one end, eat around the circumference of the ear, then move down to the next section. Not a single kernel wasted.

Neil is a “typewriter.” He eats in a straight line, down the cob, and then returns to the beginning for the next row. Note: it is not acceptable to rotate the cob and go back across in the other direction.

Mari is a “random.” She takes a bite here, takes a bite there, and leaves a crazy amount of corn on the cob.

What kind of corn-eater are you?

Aww… I read that blog title and thought it was going to be about something dirty. Who knew “corn-eater” actually meant “corn-eater?”

I was going to say what kind of corn-eater I am, but if I’m interrupting something here…… 😉
