TARDIS Project – Part 4

Yes, I am going to string you along for one more post. After the concrete pad was put in it was time to make a formal path up the hill.

We somewhat strategically wore a curved path up the hill as we worked. Then it was just a matter of making some steps.

It winds right past the massive patch of Daylilies. I am not a huge fan of Daylilies. At least not in this amount. So losing some for the path was a win.

We wanted to go as low tech and low cost as possible on this part of the job. Neil did a little research and decided on landscaping timbers.

Installation just required a little excavation, stacking timbers to build up a step, then driving in a big pin through all the layers to keep them in place.

A little backfilling, then mulch. Done! How about a wide shot?

Cool! How about with a person for scale?

Perfect!
